Bishop’s Weekly One-liners Vol. 3 (plus his Top 5 Worship Songs)

We all lead rather busy lives; whether it’s our work, school, family, or extra curricular activities we’ve committed to, we always have “something“ to do. However, many of us neglect setting aside QUALITY alone time with God; remembering that it’s what got us here in the first place.

Make time with the Lord a priority rather than a hobby or just another task on your to-do list. Worship, honor and thank Him first; find out what He wants before bombarding Him with what it is that you want.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Bishop says:

Worship changes the rules.

Knowing what God wants is directly related to answered prayers.

Your primary purpose in life is to be filled with the fullness of God – everything else is secondary

Bishop’s Weekly One-liners Vol. 2

This week’s one-liners urge us not to waste tears on things that God has said no to. We must trust His plan, remembering that it’s perfect and just for us. The same amount of time we spend crying over things that He’s done with is the same amount of time that could be spent on our faces, spending time with the Lord.

Be aware and “look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV).

Bishop says:

Stop crying over things that God is done with.

You can’t see God’s glory through the tears of your disappointment.

Let’s break thru what holding your breakthrough!

It’s a terrible thing to be where God “was”.

Blessings have time limits attached to them.  They are for a specific time of place and grace. How many promises lie on your doorstep dormant?

Bishop’s Weekly One-liners Vol. 1

17 Tuesday Jul 2012

In the first edition of Bishop’s Weekly One-Liners , we are reminded that our destiny is greater than what we’ve been through, even greater than those that have hurt or disappointed us. It’s important to remember who we are and who’s we are. No one can stand in the way of that.  Regain your tunnel vision,  “forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” (Philippians 3:13 KJV).

Bishop says:

Yesterday only exists in our mind. Don’t carry the residue of yesterday…forget it.

Don’t let your history cloud your destiny.

Make your flesh catch up with your destiny.

You’re supposed to have dominion (God’s will on how things should happen) & not opinion.

You are negotiating with a serpent you were called to subdue and have dominion over.  Negotiation strips you of your power
