Have you ever been giving advice and heard yourself give the very answer that you needed? Well, this brings us to the thought of the day. At our weekly Bible Study we reviewed Matthew 15: 21 – 28 with the woman who had a grievously vexed daughter that came to worship Jesus…and the thought was this, why are so many of us living with what we should and can kill?
Why are so many Christians reasoning with tormenting spirits? When did we become so passive in our walk that darkness does not bother us? Our spirits have been dulled by the cares of life, while our flesh is alive and kicking. There used to be a day where the older saints would see a child entangled in darkness and they would call the child to them, and plead the Blood of Jesus. And while as children we did not want them to accost us with what we perceived as religion, we also did not struggle with the same intensity as our babies do now. They are in the fight of their lives and guess what…so are the parents. Everyone is fighting to maintain their sanity, their joy, their peace, and so forth…But this woman who the Bible left nameless, pushed past all of her own issues to go to Jesus for someone else. We do not know what her occupation was, if she was married or single, if she was poor or rich…all we know was that her daughter was grievously vexed “and then came she and worshiped.”
Saints, we are in a day where are babies our lost…they are fighting peer pressure (then came she and worshipped), they are fighting suicide (then came she and worshipped), they are fighting to be heard (then came she and worshipped), they are fighting tormenting spirits of addiction (then came she and worshipped)…The Bible does not say if the child was 10 or 25…then came she and worshipped…Go boldly to the Throne and worship…it is there you will find the answer you have been seeking and longing for…If you do not hear anything else I say, hear this…Worship not only changes the rules, it brings life to your dead things…Worship is the Answer!
